My story

My name is Janka, I am married and I have two grown up children. Until recently, I performed important managment function in a famous international corporation and I loved my work. Until now, all my profesional life was about solving tax „issues“ of my clients, meeting deadlines, educating and guiding my younger colleagues, the career growth… and I liked my job, moreover I even liked the stress coming with all of that.

And then, something changed about me. I have read somewhere that approximately in the halftime of life, we start to change. At this time, we tend to reconsider our previous life and values. To me, this happened at the age 45 years, when Ayurveda became a part of me. The more I was dived into the mysteries of this old Indian science, the less meaning I saw in what I was doing until then and therefore I decided to finish my career in the international corporation.

How did I study Ayurveda?

At the beginning, I was studying ayurveda by myself as a self-learner and I have read a lot of available books both in Slovakian and English. In November 2018, I attended „panchakarma“ treatment in India – an ayurvedic detox treatment, and after that, I decided to educate myself profesionally. In 2019, I graduated from „Advanced Level Ayurveda Course“ in Rishikesh, India. I finished this course in November 2019 by final exams, after which I recivied a certificate. During the course, I earned a lot of knowledge from experienced ayurvedic doctors. Besides theories, I learned to practice therapies and procedures from ayurvedic therapists.

What exactly is Ayurveda?

The word Ayurveda comes from two words – Ayur (life, longevity) and Veda (science). It’s a science older than 5,000 years with its origins in India and it is considered to be „mother of medicine“. Ayurveda is becoming more and more popular because of its emphasis on life hand in hand with the rhytm of nature. We as human beings are a part of nature, whether we like it or not. If we do not live in accordance with nature, then diseases appear…

Involving Ayurveda in my life and following some of its rules and principles helped me to heal from heperthyroidm – overproduction of thyroid gland´ s hormones. Even allergies which had been bothering me since high school are gone now.

Food is the first pillar of health and according to Ayurveda:

„The same food can be medicine for someone and the poison for another one.“

And what is my mission?

I have learned a lot about Ayurveda and tried a lot of its practice and therapies on my own. It has helped me to become mentally and physically well-balanced, therefore healthy. I would like to share my knowledge with you in order to make Ayurveda helpful for you at least to the extent it has helped me. I will be pleased if you join me to excercises or breathing techniques of pranayama. If are are not able to pay full price for my services please do not hesitate to contact me, we will certainly find some solution.
